REV. MSGR. JESUS ROMULO C. RAÑADA
MSGR. JESUS-ROMULO RAÑADA is a priest of the Diocese of Novaliches. A graduate of San Carlos Major Seminary in Makati City, Philippines, and of the American College of the Immaculate Conception in Louvain Belgium, Msgr. Rañada holds several post-graduate degrees in Philosophy, Theology, and Religious Studies, including a Doctorate in Sacred Theology (SThd). Ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Manila in 1991 by the late Jaime Cardinal Sin, he has combined both pastoral and academic endeavors, serving successively as pastor in a number of parishes in Metro Manila while at the same time regularly giving lectures in Philosophy and Theology in various seminaries and schools of Theology, until his appointment as Rector of San Carlos Seminary in 2001. Author of the book, A heart for the Poor: Thought and Spirituality of Msgr. Aloysius Schwartz (Claretian Publications, 2005), Nourished by God’s Word, 3 Vols. 2014, Msgr. Rañada served as President of the Theological Commission for the Archdiocesan Process of Beatification and Canonization of Msgr. Aloysius Schwartz in 2004, and as Assistant Relator for the same Causes in Rome in 2006. At the moment Msgr. Rañada serves as Pastor of Santuario di San Paolo in Casa Milan Greater Lagro, Quezon City, and concurrently Vicar General for Administration, and Priest Director of the Faith and Formation Commission of the Diocese of Novaliches. Msgr. Rañada is the Spiritual Director of the National Association of Parish PREX Secretariats (NAPPS) as well as of the Novaliches - Kalookan Diocesan Association of the Parish PREX Secretariats (NKDAPPS).
